Body Art by Cjay: June 2010

Hello out there. I was just sitting around thinking about important dates ahead, and the one that seems to really make me smile a biot is Halloween for sure. Each year here in Miami Beach, the locals and visitors alike go all out and display many different avenues of creativity with how thought out there costumes ideas are. Im impressed with many peoples aim to go out and win a costume contest, of which there are many every halloween here in miami beach. I have been happy to hear that on several occasions people i had painted on that weekend, had gone on to win a costume contest of there own at many different venues from Mangoes , the clevelander,etc.. This always makes me happy to hear for sure.

So im writing today to stress the importance of planning ahead . It should be of no surprise that those who really put there time in on an idea or costume , it tends to reflect on the day of. For m it is a real tea to have some clients who approach me in the creative process of it all, and allow some comfort level on the design aspect of there paint job.

Each year more an more people seem to get body painted, and its unfortunate that i only have 2 hands and only so many hrs in the day to paint. I hate seeing people wait around each year, and no matter how hard i try there always some who just dont get painted due to over booking or just the time factor itself. As it takes some time to truly put together a nicely done paint job.

So that being said, please reachout to your fellow artists of your choice and book them in advance as much as you can.

I predict alarge amount of people will seek the avatar look this year, and because theres so many ways you can go about this look , id suggest start planning now. This year i would like to start implementing latex prosthetic pieces in o the overall look and really take it to the next step..

reachout dont be shy, payment plans are encouraged as this way the whole amount doesn't effect your pocket in such a sudden manner..
